CBLS were involved from concept through to construction for this single storey residential extension which houses a new kitchen/dining space.

 

The proposal mimics the form and materiality of the existing 1870s property which has a double gable end as well as red and grey bricks. The proposal introduces further brick detailing to add visual interest.

This gabled form allowed for a vaulted ceiling which lead to the introduction of tall, glazed, arched doors which flood the space with light, particularly when combined with the rooflight.

CBLS designed the interior to be bright and airy, the shades of green link to the outside, whilst banquette seating provides a feature whilst using space efficiently.
